Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented *Purchase Follow-Up Executive* to support our procurement operations in the *automobile industry*. The candidate will be responsible for following up with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of automotive components, and coordinating with internal teams to meet production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of automobile parts and materials.
* Follow up on purchase orders (POs) and track deliveries against production schedules.
* Communicate delivery schedules and delays to the Purchase and Production teams.
* Maintain up-to-date records of supplier communication, PO status, and delivery confirmations.
* Ensure materials received match quality and quantity specifications; escalate discrepancies.
* Work closely with the Stores, Quality Control, and Accounts departments for goods inward processes.
* Assist in supplier performance evaluation based on delivery timelines and responsiveness.
* Generate daily and weekly reports on pending deliveries and follow-up status.
* Support in maintaining inventory levels aligned with production requirements.
Requirements:
* Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the **automotive or manufacturing sector*.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and local language.
* Working knowledge of *automotive parts and components* is an advantage.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
* Strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple vendors.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with automotive supply chain processes.
* Experience with tier 1 or tier 2 automotive vendors.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
